  • Bob Blakley, Lead Inventor, US Patent 7502468, "Method and system for generating a cryptographically random number stream," granted March 10, 2009.

    Installed as a Fellow of the IACR at Crypto 2009, held on the campus of the University of California at Santa Barbara, August 16-20, 2009.

  • Professor Harold Boas is scheduled to receive the 2009 Chauvenet Prize from the Mathematical Association of America. This prize, awarded annually by the MAA Board of Governors is to reward outstanding expository writing. Professor Boas will receive this award at the 2009 AMS/MAA joint mathematics meetings in January in recognition of his paper entitled "Reflections on the Arbelos" published in the American Mathematical Monthly in 2006.

    Awarded the Association of Former Students Distinguished Achievement Award in Teaching, College Level, Fall 2009.

    Awarded, Student Led Award for Teaching Excellence (SLATE), Texas A&M University, Spring 2009.

  • Rostislav Grigorchuk, Distinguished Professor of Mathematics, has been selected to receive an Association of Former Students Distinguished Achievement Award in Research. Dr. Grigorchuk will receive his award at the annual spring awards ceremony, April 2009.
