Title: Introduction to resolutions and the Hilbert Burch Theorem

Abstract: This will be an introduction to the topics below and how they recently arose in my research on a classical question in linear algebra: Hilbert Burch theorem (proof on p58 of Hartshorne's deformation theory book) Buchsbaum-Eisenbud theorem on exactness of complexes (in both Eisenbud books) Buchsbaum-Eisenbud theorem on codimension three Gorenstein resolutions (1977 paper)
